CAUSES

Airwaves was founded as a band as a way to both entertain and raise money/awareness about hungry families in Eastern Iowa.  Airwaves partnered with local Food Shelves and Churches to provide funding for food.  We have always utilized a tip jar right at the front of our stage.  Our fans have generously supported our Causes at every performance.  As our fan base has grown, so have the tips.  Over the past 12 years, our fans have donated more than $15,000 to support our causes.  This year, all tip money will go to support The Salvation Army and Chains Interrupted.

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church.  It's message is based on the Bible.  It's ministry is motivated by the love of God.  Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to met human needs in His name without discrimination.  Each year, Airwaves accepts tips in their tip jar to raise money to feed hungry families in Eastern Iowa through the Salvation Army's Food Pantries, Meal Programs, and Community Gardens.  Join Airwaves and the Salvation Army in the Fight Against Food Insecurity as we feed hungry families.  Donate via our tip jar at an upcoming performance or donate via our Venmo account.

Chains Interrupted is a nonprofit fighting for the freedom from trafficking in Eastern Iowa, the United States, and the world.  Chains Interrupted is a driving force that empowers communities and contends for the freedom of youth from human trafficking through awareness, prevention, and advocacy.  The organization seeks to educate organizations and the community at large about the fastest growing criminal industry in the world.  Chains Interrupted provides information on how to spot and prevent people from being trafficked as well as providing support for individuals who have survived human trafficking.  Join Airwaves and Chains Interrupted in the fight to stop human trafficking.  Donate via our tip jar at an upcoming performance or donate via our Venmo account.
